Immediate Breast Reconstruction with Expandable Implant after Removal of Siliconoma

Abstract
Augmentation mammaplasty using liquid silicone injections has been performed illicitly by both physicians and nonphysicians from 1960 to 1970. Because this method of breast augmentation was much cheaper other than standard surgical augmentation. but, the method of liquid silicone injection result in many complications, which are the follows: granulomatous inflammatory changes, chronic erythema, pain, drainage, skin retraction, and migration of the silicone. Besides these adverse reactions, the formation of silicone granulomas will make the breast hard and lumpy. We present siliconoma on both breast, who the patient injected liquid silicone on breast 25 years ago. We have reconstructed immediately with expandable implant and purse-string suture technique after removal of silicomas and involving soft tissues, In this article, we reported about this case with a brief review of literatures.
